The GM2 Foundation Scholarship

The GM2 Foundation Scholarship is a one-time $1,500 scholarship awarded to a student who shows achievement and perseverance in academics, extra-curricular activities and the community.

The minimum criteria for this scholarship are:

1) an East Texas* high school senior with at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 point scale, and

2) the student must be attending a two (2) year junior college in East Texas*.

The GM2 Foundation hopes to identify a student who is well-rounded, has a desire to achieve a Bachelor’s degree, and will use the GM2 Foundation Scholarship as a springboard for advancement and ultimately, paying it forward. However, there is no ‘model’ student for this scholarship.

Not only will the Scholarship recipient receive money for their college education, he/she will also have the ability to build and maintain mentoring relationships with the GM2 Board of Directors and its Advisory Board. The hope of the GM2 Board of Directors is that the recipient will utilize these relationships as much, or more, than the Scholarship money itself.

(*) GM2’s East Texas includes the following Counties:

Anderson, Angelina, Bowie, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Delta, Franklin, Freestone, Gregg, Harrison, Henderson, Hopkins, Houston, Lamar, Leon, Marion, Morris, Nacogdoches, Panola, Rains, Red River, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby, Smith, Titus, Trinity, Upshur, Van Zandt and Wood.

The 2024 GM2 Scholarship Application is now CLOSED.
