​​​​Established in 2015, the GM2 Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed to provide college scholarships and mentoring assistance to graduating high school students in East Texas.  The Foundation was created in memory of Greta Mapes, a former college professor at Kilgore College.  The Board of Directors honor her memory and passion for education by distributing annual scholarships to East Texas students attending local two year institutions.
